With all these festivals time to remember drink drive safety. 1965 UK government Introduces the Idea that there will be a Drink-Drive limit with penalties. The Road safety act 1967 maxium legal drink drive limit introduced, putting a limit of a maximum on the Blood alcohol content ( BAC ) of 80mg of alcohol in 100cc of blood sample. OR its equivalent in a Urine sample of 107 mg of Alcohol per 100 ml Urine. It was then an offence to drive a car if over this limit, or to refuse to give a sample. In the past a sample could be refused.
