1878 Frank Pick Influenced London Transport, in particular, London Underground corporate Identity
Frank Pick 1878-1941 left a legacy for London that has far outlived his lifetime and still surrounds us. The First Chief Executive of London Transport. In the 1930’s he revolutionised the civic and social aspect of public transport decor and thought the quality of life was improved if the quality of the surroundings were paid attention to. Pick instigated the font for the logo that enabled uniformity and identity for the London transport system.
