When the Eiffel Tower was in London

L’Oréal’s Lancôme brought French luxury to the main hall of London’s St Pancras International Station in the form of a Pink Eiffel Tower. The illuminated Eiffel Tower stood next to the Lancôme pop-up shop which was the sponsor.

The 36-Foot Eiffel Tower has been built using 1500 bottles of Lancôme La Vie Est Belle fragrance brand.

The display will remain open through the Christmas period until the 4th January 2020, with the pop-up shop remaining open until the 24th December. sadly there is no permanent display of this Eiffel Tower in London, so we only have the pictures of the event to record it’s happening.

Eiffel Tower in London, St Pancras international

St Pancras international is London’s departure terminal for Paris bound Eurostar trains, making this location, particularly well chosen for the Lancôme Eiffel Tower. It is possible to travel on the Eurostar from London’s St Pancras to Paris in 2 hours 16 minutes where  Maurice Koechlin and Émile Nouguier designed Eiffel Tower, can be visited.

The pink illuminated Eiffel Tower bears the slogan “Happiness is Here”. When the Christmas show is over, Lancome will donate the 1500 perfume bottles used to construct the Eiffel Tower to the Cancer support charity “Look Good Feel Better”, whose motto, Facing Cancer with Confidence is courageous. LED lights inside the centrepiece provide a nice ambient look, the plan is for them to blink and give a light show at various times. Whilst the photos we took at the time early evening did not seem to be obnoxious or blinding and pleasant to look at, may mean this will look different and subject to change at other times.
