The 1991 Japanese Grand Prix 20th October
The fifteenth round of the Championship at the Suzuka circuit in Japan, the stage was set for the two leading championship contenders Nigel Mansell and Ayrton Senna to compete. Mansell needed the win.
Mclaren locked out the front row of the grid, Mansell hounded Ayrton, on Lap 10 Nigel’s car spun off the track, forcing a retirement.
